It was local tournament so many people drop from some rounds, but the most interesting thing is that ranking of player from Warsaw isn't correct. 6kyu beating 3dan, 5kyu beating 1kyu in even games? There is something wrong with polish ranking in Warsaw.

I speak with some people from warsaw about this and conclusion is: people likes their old ranks; they don't play often in tournaments offline but play many games online; If they play in tournaments offline they want to win so they don't want to be promoted if it isn't necessary.

The conclusion is tremendous. I can't go to Warsaw and check they level but i will start discussion about Warsaw rank in Polish Ranking Committee. If we can't repair everything we will begin the changes to obtain the correct ranking.

The definition of GO grades is statistical in nature, it does not mean that the stronger player must win ALL his games against weaker opponents and certainly two specific games are not enough to say anything about the average quality of grades anywhere.

(And I'm not saying this just because I'm the 3d that lost :P)

I understand this but if in even game weaker player (8 stone weaker) won the game that is sign that he is little more stronger than his actual rank.

Mucha is considerably stronger than his rank would show. In fact, he gives Kindziuk one stone at Dragon, so the result of this game wasn't really a big surprise.

In the secont accident, the stronger player completely disrespected his opponent (including playing blitz) and the result is shown in the tournament table.

And jumping to the cheating accusations without asking people who happened to be present during the tournament (like Leszek Soldan or myself) about their opinion is, to say it mildly, neither pleasant nor wise.
